COMPUTERIZATION OF LAND RECORDS
Land Records computerization programme has been executed by Land Record Information Systems Division, NIC, CGO Complex, New Delhi and the State Unit of Delhi, Players's Building, New Delhi. This land information system allows basic data entry regarding the plots and their ownership, (Khatauni, Khasra Girdawari, Field Book etc.), Mutation, queries and reports and even the details of proceedings under various important sections of Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954 (example section 81, 84, 85, 86A etc.).
The aspect of developing Spatial Data Base having accurate digital maps with proper Geo-Referencing is also being taken up simultaneously with the Utility Mapping Division of NIC, CGO Complex, New Delhi. The attributes being computerized as RDBMS as above would be linked to these maps to have a Geographical Information System. For this purpose a pilot project for generation of digital maps by aerial photograph has been undertaken and digital maps of all the images have been prepared
COMPUTERIZATION OF SUB-REGISTRAR OFFICES
Computerized counters for presentation of cash collection inquiry, search and delivery have started functioning Digital Photographs are being taken. The Peshi Register, Index Register , Cash Book, endorsement and photo details are being generated through the computer. After computerization the preparation time of the document has been reduced
Mega Camps
Mega Camps were organized at the District level in which GRC’s, DRC, DMU and DC Office were involved. The main target group of these camps was the surveyed population of District Central A lot of activities had been taken in and around these camps. All the converging departments ensured their participation, put their stalls and created awareness about various welfare schemes running by their respective departments. Following are the details of the Mega Camps organized in the District Central:-
Samajik Suvidha Sangam, GNCTD in association with Deputy Commissioner (Central) organized the first Mega Camp on 17th April 2011 at Zeenat Mahal School, Kamla Market, New Delhi.. 1,060 beneficiaries were benefited from the catchment area of GRC- IMDT.
Focusing on the catchment area of GRC- SPOWAC, the second Mega Camp was organized on 26th June, 2011 at Sanatan Dharam Hari Mandir Senior Secondary Girls School, Deshraj Bhatia Marg, Pahraganj, New Delhi. 1,575 beneficiaries came from the various parts of the catchment area and visited this camp.
In continuation, third Mega Camp was organized on 16th October, 2011 at Govt. Girls Secondary School, Pataudi House, Daryaganj, New Delhi. 1,137 beneficiaries were benefited from this camp. This camp catered the catchment area of GRC-Sur Nirman.
Last and the fourth Mega Camp was organized on 19th February, 2012 at M.C. Primary School, Katra Chajju Pandit, Manakpura, New Delhi in the catchment area of GRC-IMDT’s Extension Centre. 1,151 beneficiaries visited this camp and took various benefits.
Water and Sanitation
This aim of this program is to ameliorate the living conditions' of the vulnerable section of the societies living in slums/resettlement colonies and facilitating socio-economic empowerment of women through a number of direct and indirect services. The need has been felt to address Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) situation in slums/communities as the women and children mostly bear the brunt of inadequate water and sanitation Infrastructure. There is also a need to improve water and sanitation practices of the people through intensive behavioral change communications. Clean and hygienic environment fosters good health which ultimately reduces expenses on treatment.
So far as a survey has been done in all the districts to map the unused toilets run by MCD, DUSIB, SULABH International and the GRCs are now organizing public meetings in their catchment area to raise awareness regarding this issue.
ePDS- Food and Supplies Department
Delhi’s Citizen can now submit their application forms relating to ration card services at 98 Samajik Suvidha Sangam Kendras (GRC-SK's) in addition to the 70 circle offices of Department of Food & Supplies. GRCs will be filling the forms at their centres (they will charge Rs. 30 from the beneficiary) and than they will submit the forms and the money at their respective Circle Offices on weekly basis.
Awaaz Uthao Campaign- Women and Child Development Department
15 GRCs of Delhi are running this program. GRC – IMDT of district central has been selected to look after Awaaz Uthao Campaign in their catchment area. So far as GRC –has organized one public meeting in Chawri Bazar. Approx. 500 people from the community have attended this Public Meeting. The GRC has made 4 collectives which consist of 16 members each, to fight the problem of eve teasing with women and girls in their catchment area.
Dilli Annashree Yojna- Food and Supplies Department
This is the most recent scheme which will be now implemented through the GRCs and monitored through DRCs. The beneficiaries of this scheme would be SSS Survey holders who are not getting ration benefits through Public Distribution System. In this scheme, the Government will provide food subsidy of Rs. 600 per month in the form of cash transfer. This money will be transferred directly in the bank account of the senior most female member (women head) of the household.
So far as pre testing exercise has been done in selected GRCs which would be now followed by identification of eligible beneficiaries and getting them enrolled so that they may get the benefit of this scheme.
